Value of M1 pouch? |

Any help on the value of this M1 Pouch. If I read the markings correctly is says M-D Mfg Co. over 1944. I received this as part of an auction lot and I have
an offer to buy but I don't really know if the offer is "fair" I don't think this was ever issued, it is super clean on the inside and
outside.

Could you post a close up of the metal zipper pull? Check it carefully is there any markings on it either on top or on the side? If original they range from
$125.00 - $150.00 all depends how bad someoen wants it

found inside of M1 carbine pouch/case | ||
|
Is this, by any chance, a M1 carbine sling? I couldn't find any markings or stamps on it.
It was inside the M1 Carbine pouch/case when I got it.

Case looks like a real one, zipper is correct. Deffinately not a carbine sling. Not real sure what its for but I would be interested in it if you want to sell
it or trade, I'm always looking for something unusual

The sling is a Kerr No-Buckl M1917 sling - it was used on M1917s and M1903s during WWI and afterwards. They have also made reproductions in recent years.

Hey Guys, Thanks for all the help on these 2 items. Beleive it or not I sold both of them this evening. I guess the M1 Carbine Case was the hot item. It is really a beauty as you can see by the photo's. Sorry I can't tell you who bought them. But I feel I got a "fair & reasonable" price for both of them. They are already packed up and ready to be mailed tomorrow. Thanks Again Jim .......aka.......hognfrog |
