I am thinking of getting one and would like some input on how happy you are with them. Anyone get a bad one. I have a stock if it is too bad that doesnt
bother me but must be a good shooter and run ok. Thinking of an Inland for the first one. Thanks. Doug.

If you just wanted a shooter, I would have tried the CMP first. Cheaper, and their service is all-world.
On the other hand, I recently ordered another Century Israeli Mauser and had some great service from Century regarding a problem I had with my C&R license. |

I believe that the Century M1 Carbines are ex-Israeli, and most of the posts I've read say that they are in relatively good condition. Let us know how it
is when you get it, and how big the import marking is.

I've got some from Century. They were indeed from Israel. Measured less than 2 on the muzzle gauge, bores in great shape, in fact the guns were in great
shape Original stocks too, with strong cartouches. The Israelis had a real interest in keeping their firearms in good shape. The guns were at least as good as
the CMP guns.

Well got the 1st one,an Inland and it had some problems. Talked to the rep and they made it good. No problems at all and did me right. +1 to them. I got as an
replacemnt, due to no Inlands left a Standard Products/cracked stock. Dang if I can find the crack.Told them I wasnt worried about the stock, had one already
so it was ok. Ex-Israeli for sure, bore nice ,metal ok I guess @ 60% + or-. Many dings on the stock it has an "A" on the lh ft barrelcut out near the
band spring and a "U" near the sling cut out. Underwood refurb? . The hand guard is 2 rivet with some letters I cant read yet it is dirty to say the
least. When I get it cleaned I will post some pics. I need a book to know what parts are in it. It had a flat bolt,t3 rear band IS marked, flip safety, rear
site is t3 also I think, has a H in a shield mark on the rt side. Rock-ola trigger, "W" hammer in the white, Underwood barrel,9-43 serl# is 20235xx.
"R" marked ft site.I like it now I "need" a 1917, and a 1911 and I will have the whole family. Thanks for looking. Doug.

6cylrider98 wrote:Oh no... You have a Standard Products M1-Carbine. Nice catch by the way, they were the 3rd "rarest" of the the 10 manufacturers, with only 247,155 units ever made. To have the "whole family", you need a : Inland - 2,394,510 units Winchester - 828,059 units Underwood - 545,616 units Quality Hardware - 359,666 units Rock-Ola - 162,194 units Saginaw Gear S'G' (Grand Rapids, MI) - 223,620 units Saginaw Gear S.G. (Saginaw, MI) - 293,592 units National Postal Meter - 413,017 units IBM - 346,500 units Then, you can move on to the M1917 (Eddystone, Remington, Winchester), and M1911 (Colt, Springfield, Remington, Ithaca, Singer, Union Switch, & Rock Island)... (It's a LARGE family!) -Bean

Just ment one each of the family not all their kin.
That would take a
few $$$. Would lie a 1911 next but that is a very pricey buy. Thaks for the input. Doug.

beanstrung, where did you get those production numbers? Riesch's books states 228,500 Rock-Olas. I'm not saying you're wrong or he's right
but I'm curious. I got a Saginaw S G from Century recently and it's not an S.G. or S 'G'. I'm confused. That variety doesn't show up
in Riesch's book. I've got eight so far between the CMP and Century and will be ordering a Standard from Century next week. An Irwin Pedersen is
probably not likely and I'll have to find an S 'G' and S.G. if mine isn't one of those two. They are certainly fun to shoot.
