Anyone know who manufacture the Hotshot 8mm Mauser ammo for Century?? |

I picked up a couple of boxes of the 196gr SP from Sportsmans Guide and my K98 LOVES the stuff. Best itsy-bitsy groups of anything I've run through
it.
I'm going to order a bunch more but they'll eventually run out
Thanks |

It's Yugoslavian. Mostly Privi-Partisan/PPU marked brass.
Thank goodness those in the ammo manufacturing sector "over there" have filled this niche in the ammo market. Save that brass, it is reloadable!!! If you don't reload, put it on the trade board for sale for folks that do.

Thanks WVchuck. I'll pick up some Privi when I get a chance and see if it performs the same.
This ammo shoots great but the rifle isn't so happy about loading soft points. I have to wiggle the bolt to get the point to slide up up the feed ramp and chamber from the magazine sometimes. I don't reload just yet but I'm saving the brass just the same. When I have more time and some spare cash I'll invest in some reloading equipment. Maybe a good winter project? |

That brand is sold as "Highlander" over here and I reload their 198gn FMJ projectiles in 8mm - they are cheap and shoot much better than anything
else. I've also used their factory 158gn FMJ (? flat tip?) 357mag rounds - once again cheap and excellent accuracy out of my Marlin lever action. I
can't match the accuracy with any of my reloads and, unfortunately, can't buy those projectiles over here.
