My M48 does not want to feed the rounds from the right side of the magazine. They get hung up halfway into the chamber. Under close observation, it appears
the rounds from the right side are not sliding up under the extractor as they should. The rounds feed properly from the left/upper side of magazine. I tried
the bolt from my 24/47 and it will feed the rounds just fine. My suspicion is the extractor is slightly bent or deformed. I...

FWIW -- I just came back from the range w/my M48 Yugo and had a few near FTFd. I say near because, I noticed that when I worked the bolt at those times I'd
done it much slower than at the other times when everything fed fine. Used Win. 170gr. SP.

Bear,
Thanks for the reply. I actually posted a little too soon. After posting I went and took the extractor off of my Turk Mauser bolt(its actually a German
Imperial bolt on the Turk) and swapped and now it feeds and extracts fine....so a FUBAR extractor. At least after your post and my experiment, I know I can
order a german extractor and be ok.

And here is the amazing part....I put the extractor from the M48 on the Turk bolt and it feeds the turk just fine. Guess I will...

Sounds like you did a great job to narrow the problem down. Something is a little off with the extractor. I'm not sure what would be the fix, but I can
tell you this.... A K98 extractor will fit just fine on an M48 bolt. That is one part that is standard.
